Stephen Wells, CEO, UK


Stephen is the founder and CEO of Virtus. He has over 31 years of commercial experience gained across several industry sectors, including Financial Services, IT, Telco, Retail and Healthcare. He spent several years in management consultancy with IBM and Ernst & Young before becoming a freelance programme manager, director and consultant. Stephen has successfully delivered major business and IT improvement, change and transformation programmes for global blue chip organisations and has gained a reputation for managing complexity. Stephen’s entrepreneurial side has led him to established a number of organisations over the last ten years, including Virtus which he started in 2009.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Electronics from Queen Mary College, University of London and still has some old 555 timer chips in his garage to prove it (the techies will understand!). When he’s not out and about with his wife and three sons, he’s out and about with Amy (the family’s Bernese Mountain dog). You can connect with Stephen on LinkedIn.

Raheel Retiwalla, CTO, USA


As Virtus CTO, Raheel is responsible for StreamCentral’s strategic direction, planning and implementation. He has over 15 years of experience working with enterprise software in many capacities. Prior to Virtus, he was the CTO for Clearway Technology Partners leading the Business Intelligence consulting practice. Prior to Clearway, Raheel held multiple roles at Microsoft including Senior Product Manager for SQL Server and as Technology Specialist for Microsoft’s Data Platform and Business Intelligence solutions. Raheel started his career with Unisys Corporation where he was involved in some of the largest data warehousing deployments on Microsoft SQL Server at the time.
